My two poems DREAMS and WISH UPON A STAR have been published in a children’s anthology edited by ANITA NAHAL and MEENAKSHI MOHAN.

The book is available on AMAZON BOOKS and so multiple readers around the world will read them.

I am deeply grateful to the editors and also take the occasion to congratulate all fellow poets whose works have graced the anthology.

As usual, I strive to diversify my writing palette and so this betokened opportunity is a true Godsend.

So spread the word, share your thoughts, make all children and the innocent at heart adults read them and support your fellow writer and friend.

  1. Congratulations, PC! Beautiful work!

    I loved the line in DREAM, “and there are the birds who too pray to your Lord.” Many Christians can’t accept the fact that God’s nonhuman animals can also praise and pray to the Lord. In fact, as I mentioned in my blog post about “no slaughtering, just saving,” the Bible tells us All Creatures can praise the Lord, as Psalm 148, particularly verse 10, so beautifully highlights:

    Praise the Lord.

    1 Praise the Lord from the heavens;
    praise him in the heights above.
    2 Praise him, all his angels;
    praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
    3 Praise him, sun and moon;
    praise him, all you shining stars.
    4 Praise him, you highest heavens
    and you waters above the skies.

    5 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for at his command they were created,
    6 and he established them for ever and ever—
    he issued a decree that will never pass away.

    7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
    you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
    8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
    stormy winds that do his bidding,
    9 you mountains and all hills,
    fruit trees and all cedars,
    10 wild animals and all cattle,
    small creatures and flying birds,
    11 kings of the earth and all nations,
    you princes and all rulers on earth,
    12 young men and women,
    old men and children.

    13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for his name alone is exalted;
    his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
    14 And he has raised up for his people a horn,[b]
    the praise of all his faithful servants,
    of Israel, the people close to his heart.

    Praise the Lord.

    Yes, ALL God’s Creation can praise the Lord! I’m grateful to St. Francis of Assisi who “got this,” beautifully calling all God’s nonhuman animals his brothers and sisters, as well addressing the moon and the stars and the sun and All that God has created in the same praise.

    Your poem, WISH UPON A STAR, is a poem I think Jiminy Cricket from PINOCCHIO would have appreciated VERY much:

    If your heart is in your dream
    No request is too extreme
    When you wish upon a star
    As dreamers do.

    Praying all your dreams from your heart and all your heart’s dreams come true, PC!

    Once again, beautiful work, PC, and congratulations once again!
